Do I need to set up an account to make a purchase?

If you don’t wish to set up an account you can make a purchase as a guest.

Can I add a note to my order?

Yes you can add a note in the cart section.

What do I do if I didn't receive an order confirmation email?

Please check your junk mail and spam folder to ensure delivery. If you still have not received anything please email info@burrenjewellery.ie for information. 

Is the parcel insured?

Yes we take responsibility for the parcel until you receive it.

Do you have a shop I can visit?

No we are an office based e-commerce company. However we do have a number of stockists in Ireland click HERE for a list.

Is VAT included?

All Euro customers already have 23% VAT added to the price. No duties will be charged upon arrival of your package.

Shipments outside of Europe may be liable for duties. Please check with your countries customs for details, or please contact us for more info

What if my card has not been accepted?

The most common issue when a credit card gets rejected is because of what you are about to purchase is above your normal spending trend or because it's an international payment, or in some cases it is over a certain amount set by your bank. That is usually around €500. If you contact your Credit Card Company or bank you should be able to get them to authorise it for you at which stage you can come back to your 'saved cart' to complete your transaction. MAINTENANCE & REPAIR

Can I get my jewellery repaired?

Depending on the product and what is required we can repair your jewellery, however we would like that you email us a photo of the product focusing on the damaged area and we will get back to you advising the best course of action.

How do I take care of my Burren Jewellery?

To enjoy your jewellery for a long time, its important to give the appropriate care to its conservation

  • Remove your jewellery before you practice sports, including swimming, or go to bed.
  • Remove your rings before an intense physical activity that could cause damage. e.g gardening or handiwork
  • Avoid contact with perfumes
  • Avoid contact with harsh chemicals

How do I clean my Burren Jewellery?

For 18K gold plate products soak your jewellery in lukewarm water with a little mild soap or washing up liquid, rinse and dry with a soft cloth.  For silver products you can purchase a silver polishing from your local jeweller.

 

ENGRAVING 

Do you offer an engraving service?

We currently do not offer an engraving service

PLATING

Is the plating good quality?

Yes we use a 3 micron 18k gold plating on our plated jewellery. For rings with stones set we use a 5 micron plating. This plating is guaranteed for 3 years!!  

In order to optimize the colour of gold over time, our plating is given a finishing coat of 23 karat gold which prevents plating from oxidation

What metal is the 18K gold plated on?

We plate the 18K gold on brass which is Lead, nickel and cadmium free and is hypoallergenic. Brass is an excellent metal to plate on as the bond between the gold plate and brass is very strong.

ETHICS AND SUSTAINABILITY

Is the gold and silver sustainable?

More than 80% of the silver and 20% of the gold used in our jewellery comes from recycled material in order to reduce the impact of our jewellery on natural resources. 

Do the materials in your jewellery comply with international standards?

All of our jewellery is compliant with the European REACH regulations.

Is the jewellery ethically produced.

Our manufacturing partner in France is a members of the «RJC» (Responsible Jewelery Council): a recognized commitment in terms of respect for working conditions and sustainable development.
